Welcome!

Friends of the Mexican Cloud Forest is an alliance of Mexican and U.S. individuals, families and organizations committed to preserving the cloud forest ecology which supports the vital water resources of the Dos Puentes and Citlalapa Micro-watershed near Huatusco, Veracruz, Mexico.
Please explore with us on our site these basic questions and our approach to the current environmental challenges we face together.

IMAGINE . . .

.. . . what you would do if you only had running water 8 months out of the year?
. . . how you would manage your waste if you couldn't flush the toilet?
. . . how you would prepare meals if you couldn't afford cooking gas and wood was scarce?
. . . what steps you might take if human and agricultural waste polluted your only water source?
. . . you are the world's largest acorn or the smallest air plant and you aren't sure what a drier climate will mean for your grandchildren?

. . . how you can prevent your daughter from suffering the respiratory illness you have from cooking?
. . . you feel discouraged and want to know what is possible, to feel renewed and filled with  hope and inspiration
. . .you want to make a BIG impact with limited resources
